Larimer, Boulder post lowest local unemployment rates
DENVER — Colorado’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell one-tenth of a percentage point from November to December, ending 2025 at 3.8%.
That’s healthier than the national average — which also fell a tenth of a point over that period — of 4.4%, according to new data from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
Within the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado, Boulder and Larimer counties led the way with unadjusted jobless rates of 3.4% in December. Broomfield County posted a 3.5% rate, while Weld County recorded a rate of 4%.
